Somethin’ About Flowers is a continuation of my nostalgic practice, remembering the beautiful plants and blooms around my childhood home. The sight of flowers, no matter what the occasion, always seems to bring the still presence of God in a space. Flowers natural beauty is something hard to replicate by the human hand, and often evokes a state of placidity, even during a time of loss. I arrange fresh cut flower bouquets for the sculptural critters to hold and take care of, taking on the shepherd’s roll during the lifespan of the flowers until they fall and decay.
